Originally, the beach house café was a simple white & blue chalet style building, with sun terrace offering sea views. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and live music on the exclusive sandbank.
Due to a fire in October 2018, the beach house cafe was no longer as we knew it. The original building needed to be gutted and removed leaving only our veranda area of the original building.
But this didn’t stop us! Remaining open throughout the winters, and through a pandemic (when we were allowed to be open, of course) We created an open air festival style food and drink takeaway! Including a retro style burger van, stone baked pizza kitchen, paella, seafood & salad counter, beach bar as well as our essential beach shop & kiosk.
Now, we are waiting on re-build…..
We have learned a lot from operating the old café for 15 years, and also running the temporary site for 3 years. We are hoping to create a new, improved building to replace the burned down Beach House and incorporate the old store building to the rear, creating a new venue that offers fresh, locally sourced food in a casual and laid back environment.
