The Beach House Cafe is situated on Mudeford Sandbank. The Sand bank forms part of Hengistbury head which is a designated area of national beauty and as such is a protected area with no access by car. You may reach the Beach House by Boat, Bike, Ferry, Foot or Land train.

The land train runs every day except Christmas day from Hengistbury Head Car Park, The Broadway, Southbourne.

Staying Here

Although we do not have accommodation facilities ourselves, there are some exclusive Self Catering Apartments at the historic Black House www.theblackhouse.co.uk which is also situated on the Mudeford Sandbank, overlooking the harbour entrance. Additionally, many of the beach hut owners rent out their huts during the summer season. See our notice board in the Cafe for further details.

GENERAL OPENING TIMES (these times may vary)
Every weekday 10 til 4.30 from May bank holiday 2010
Weekends 10 til dusk. Saturday nights from May bank holiday weekend (booking essential)
1st July -30th September every day 10am til late evenings.
30th September until 29th October day daytimes 10am til 4pm.
30th October 2010 until 30th April 2011 closed during week, open Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10am til 4pm.

Open daily during all school holiday periods throughout the year.

Kiosk Bar
Operates throughout the summer, weather permitting, serving cold drinks, beer, wine and Pimms.

Shop Hours
7 days during British Summer Time, (ferry weather permitting) 9am til late
during all school holidays 10 til 4 (weather permitting)
Ouside of British Summer Time, weekends only 10 til 4pm (weather permitting)
